Briefly: New U.S.A.F. PFAS contamination prompts emergency meeting in Arizona

ABC News reports the Arizona Corporation Commission is scheduling an emergency meeting next week with water companies to discuss concerns regarding contamination. Luke Air Force Base announced that high levels of PFAS contaminants had affected drinking water for approximately 6,000 people in roughly 1,600 homes in addition to local businesses near Phoenix. The base has recommended people use bottled water for drinking and cooking and will be distributing bottles to residents and business owners.
