Briefly: Colorado River tribes seek new role in how river is managed

E&E News reports that tribes in the Colorado River Basin, having been left out of negotiations over operating guidelines for the river adopted in 2007, want a seat at the table as negotiations begin over new guidelines set to take effect after the current rules expire in 2026. Tribes have rights to roughly 3.2 million acre-feet of Colorado River water.
