According to the Salt Lake Tribune, roughly 59% of the state of Utah is considered “abnormally dry and at risk of drought” — the lowest-level drought category. High temperatures, low soil moisture, coupled with shifts in the monsoon season are leading scientists and politicians alike to become worried about the drought conditions.
