Briefly: Many Wells in North Carolina Remain Unsafe After Helene’s Deluge

According to the New York Times, following the devastating damage from Hurricane Helene, more than 150,000 municipal water customers in North Carolina remain under boil-water notices, and water from around four in 10 of all private wells tested isn’t safe to drink.
