Briefly: Arizona ranchers appeal water rights case involving Gila River Indian Community

According to KJZZ Phoenix, a recent lawsuit has prevented some Arizona farmers from using wells for irrigation and domestic purposes due to water rights claimed by the Gila River Indian Community. The farmers argue that the water is groundwater and not from the Gila River. The United States District Court ruled in favor of the Gila River Indian Community.
