Briefly: Budget proposal defunds Western water conservation grants

Colorado Public Radio reports that President Trump is proposing to eliminate the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s WaterSMART program. The water conservation program has sent more than $3.2 billion to Western states since 2010, funding more than 2,350 projects, including 118 projects in Colorado.
