Briefly: Colorado has big dreams to use more water from the Colorado River. But will planned reservoirs ever be built?

According to the Vail Daily, Colorado has plans to build new reservoirs to increase water availability for future needs. However, cities, conservancy districts, and energy companies are all currently holding on to the water rights for 2.6 million acre-feet of additional water storage on the Western Slope. So far the future of these reservoir proposals seems uncertain.
