Briefly: Los Angeles to serve 500,000 people with purified wastewater

The Los Angeles Times reports that the city will double the size of a recycled water project that transforms wastewater into purified drinking water. It will produce enough water for 500,000 people and will have environmental benefits for the troubled Mono Lake.
