Briefly: More federal funding is on tap for the billion dollar pipeline slated to bring safe drinking water to southern Colorado’s plains

According to Colorado Public Radio, The Arkansas Valley Conduit is getting another inflow of federal funding. Construction work on the project began in 2023 and once complete, the conduit will serve dozens of southeastern Colorado communities dealing with contaminated groundwater. Contamination has occured mostly through natural radioactive elements.
