Briefly: New bill would give Utah’s ‘water agent’ more ‘behind-the-scenes’ power to negotiate outside the state

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, as Utah is looking for new sources of water to support its growing population, the state’s water agent could soon hold more power to look toward the Colorado and Bear river with less oversight from the public. This comes from a new bill that would provide the state’s water agent with a large budget to look for water outside of Utah.
