According to Aspen Journalism, water managers are still dealing with the impacts of the Grizzly Creek Fire. The Middle Colorado Watershed Council received $72,200 in state funding that was approved by the Colorado River Basin Roundtable for the second phase of a program that collects and distributes data about weather and river conditions following the Grizzly Creek burn scar. The first phase involved addressing immediate water quality issues and collecting data. It was implemented last summer.
