Elected Official Workshops
Water Education Colorado host’s a series of “201” educational sessions each year focused on critical water topics facing the state of Colorado for elected officials.
2025 Legislative Water Workshops
On February 5, 2025, Water Education Colorado offered a Legislative Water Workshop 201 session at the Water Resources and Agriculture Review Committee meeting. The session focused on various aspects of water project funding, including loan programs, grant opportunities, and water cash funds. (Click here for a recoding of this session).
On March 19, 2025, Water Education Colorado offered an educational session focused on infrastructure fees and rates, water treatment and the rising cost of water rights. (Click here for a recording of this session).
On April 16, 2025, Water Education Colorado offered an educational session focused on Coloradoscaping, water saving initiatives, and turf replacement efforts. This session was not recorded. (Access the session agenda is here.)

2024 Legislative Water Workshops
On March 20, 2024, Water Education Colorado offered an educational session focused on Wetlands, WOTUS, and Colorado’s Role in addition to Water Demand Planning and Affordability at the Water Resources and Agriculture Review Committee. 2024 County Commissioner Education Session
On May 28, 2024, Water Education Colorado facilitated an educational event titled “Frameworks for Protecting Water Values” for county commissioners at the beginning of the Colorado Counties Inc 2024 Summer Conference. 2023 Legislative Water Workshops
On January 13, 2023, Water Education Colorado offered a Water 101 at the state Capitol called “Demystifying Colorado water for legislators.” This session was not recorded.
