The reservoirs that store it, the treatment plants that clean it, and the pipes that deliver it … these are the fundamental parts of our water systems. There are almost 6 million people in Colorado and the vast majority of us depend on a local water utility and its infrastructure to deliver clean drinking water to our homes and to take dirty water and sewage away. It’s round-the-clock work to keep it flowing and keep it clean. In this edition of Connecting the Drops, we’ll learn about some of the infrastructure challenges facing water systems, how we pay for it … and why those “flushable” wipes aren’t really flushable.
