The Associated Press reports that nearly a decade after the city’s water crisis, Flint, Michigan’s lead pipe replacement program is winding down this year. The city recently said it completed all work required under a legal settlement, but certain homes weren’t covered by that agreement, leaving many lead pipes still in the ground. While the state aims to finish work on those properties by fall, other cities and states are learning from Flint’s example.
